Vinted’s new AI-driven security monitors behaviour in real-time. If it detects "machine-like" activity, it resets your account’s authentication tokens. This causes Zipsale to lose its "handshake" with your account, resulting in the error: 'Please refresh Vinted authentication.' Closing the Zipsale tab will also result in the Vinted connection timing out after 30mins.
Common Bot Triggers:
Rapid Fire Listing: Listing more than 2–3 items per minute is flagged as non-human.
Repetitive Token Refreshes: Logging in and out or "reconnecting" too many times in a few minutes triggers a security lockout.
The "Ghosting" Tab: Having Vinted open in a separate tab while Zipsale is listing can cause "Session Conflict," where the AI sees two different sets of actions happening at once.
2026 AI Image Scanning: Vinted now uses AI to detect "stock" or "duplicate" photos. If you relist the same item with identical photos too quickly, the bot may flag the account for "Spam/Automation."
How to Fix the Connection
Level 1: The Quick Refresh
Go to the Marketplaces tab in Zipsale.
Scroll down to Vinted.
-
Click Refresh Auth Profile.
Note: If this works, you'll see a green "Connected" status. If it fails, move to Level 2.
Level 2: The "Clean Slate" (Solves 99% of issues)
Since we frequently update the Zipsale extension to bypass new Vinted bot updates, your browser might be running an outdated version.
Remove the Zipsale Chrome Extension.
Clear your Vinted Cookies: (Settings > Privacy > Cookies > Search "Vinted" > Delete).
Re-install the extension fresh from the Chrome Web Store.
Log back into Vinted manually on your browser first, then reconnect via Zipsale.
Dealing with Blocks
If you see a screen saying "Access Denied" or a 403 Error, you have been "IP Rate-Limited."
Don't Panic: This is a temporary "soft block" on your web browser, usually lasting 1–3 hours.
The Workaround: Your account is fine. You can still use the Vinted mobile app on 4G/5G to respond to messages while you wait for the web block to lift.
Best Practices for 2026
To keep your account "under the radar" and running smoothly, follow these golden rules:
Pace Yourself: Aim for 10–15 listings per day. While Vinted has a high "hard limit," listing 50+ items in one sitting is a major red flag for the new AI bots.
Use the Mass Lister: Instead of clicking "List" on 10 separate tabs, use the Zipsale Mass Listing Tool. It is designed to stagger posts in a way that mimics human behaviour.
The "Pro" Advantage: If you are a high-volume seller, switch to a Vinted Pro account. Pro accounts have higher trust scores and are less likely to be flagged for "commercial behaviour."
One Task at a Time: Close any active Vinted tabs before you start a Zipsale listing session to prevent session hijacking.
